Populate Signitic from your Microsoft Entra ID directory to manage users, control imported data and fill your teams’ email signatures.

Why use the Signitic integration with Entra ID

Your employees’ information already exists in Entra ID. Reusing it in Signitic reduces duplicate entry and makes your directory easier to manage. Signatures draw on your organisation’s data, using the fields and import options you configure.

Benefits:

Simplify employee management: Daily synchronisation handles user additions, changes and removals.
Control imported data: Filter users by group and map directory attributes to Signitic fields.

How the Signitic integration with Entra ID works

The Microsoft 365 connector reads your Entra ID directory and syncs users daily. Filters restrict imports to selected groups. Enable data overwriting to apply changes to profiles already in Signitic.

Choose data according to your signature fields. Profile photo imports are optional and disabled by default. Group filters select users, while organisational levels rely on profile attributes.

How to activate it

A directory administrator account is required. Data overwriting must be enabled to apply changes to previously imported profiles.

Add Microsoft 365 from the Signitic connectors using a directory administrator account.
Accept the requested read permissions.
Set filters and field mappings, then enable data overwriting to update existing profiles.

Importing from Entra ID and deploying signatures: what is the difference?

The Entra ID connection acts as a data source, supplying employee profiles to Signitic. Deploying signatures to an email application is a separate step that depends on your email environment. You can therefore prepare your directory and templates before arranging the rollout.

Here are two practical situations showing how this connection fits into your organisation.

Practical example 1: Start with a pilot department. Filter the Entra ID import by group to prepare those profiles, then organise Outlook signature deployment separately.

Practical example 2: An employee’s job title changes in the Microsoft directory. With data overwriting enabled, the daily sync can apply the change to their Signitic profile used in signatures.
