Good news
By launching Signitic in 2015, the team was already convinced of the importance of respecting the privacy of its users as well as that of their interlocutors.
The arrival of the regulation for the management of personal data (RGPD) is good news. The circular goes in the right direction by making it possible to better protect the personal data of individuals and to obtain clear consent in order to use their data.
The case of email signatures
As much on a website, you can warn your visitor as soon as they arrive that trackers are collecting browsing data; and obtain their consent to their use by describing the framework and purpose.
Even when you send an email to your interlocutor, you do not ask him before he opens your email if he agrees to be tracked down. Therefore, it seems essential to us to respect this particular environment.
No personalized tracking in signatures
Signitic makes it possible to measure the number of clicks that each communication generates, to attest to its visibility and the interest in the message conveyed. On the other hand, there are no personalized trackers in email signatures to know who opened an email and at what time.
In addition to being absolutely non-compliant with the RGPD regulation, this information is not at the heart of the service provided by Signitic. Indeed, the added value of this information is very questionable when applied to the whole company. Who has time to make use of such sparse data?
For populations where this information is more interesting (sales, accounting), CRMs are specialized in this collection, it is up to you to collect consent by another means.
Your emails do not pass through our servers
Signitic installs at the email client level. Concretely, this means that signatures are not added after sending the email. And that users see them when they write their email.
For obvious security and confidentiality issues, no email exchanges pass through our server or through an installation added to your server. Thanks for your attention!
