Why use the Signitic integration with Gmail
Every employee email represents your company. Signitic gives you a shared presentation and control over signature content in Gmail. Changes to contact details or branding are prepared in Signitic, then applied through your chosen synchronisation method.

How the Signitic integration with Gmail works
The Google Workspace connection authorises Signitic to import your directory and update signatures in Gmail. Once templates are ready, enable signature updates in the connector. Relevant users then receive the content managed in Signitic in their email service.
You control two stages: getting the right information into Signitic, then applying the signature in Gmail. Template changes are prepared centrally for relevant users, without asking them to rebuild their signatures. Enabling updates determines when content starts synchronising.
How to activate it
The connection requires a Google Workspace super administrator account. Installation uses organisational units, not groups.
- Add Google Workspace from the Signitic connectors using the super administrator’s email address.
- Authorise the connection for organisational units, then finish installation in Signitic.
- Enable signature updates and refresh Gmail to check the result.

Gmail signatures and the Google directory: what is the difference?
The two synchronisations serve different purposes. The Google directory supplies users and their information to Signitic. Signature deployment sends the prepared content to the relevant Gmail accounts. Importing employees does not require you to roll out their signatures immediately.
Here are two practical situations showing how this connection fits into your organisation.
Practical example 1: Import users from the Google directory and prepare templates with your marketing team. Leave signature updates disabled until the date you choose for the launch.
Practical example 2: When your new branding is ready, enable signature updates in Gmail. Later, you can pause those updates while keeping directory synchronisation running.
