Introduction

The integration of Signitic with Google Workspace allows you to deploy synchronized email signatures on Gmail in a few clicks, for all your users.

Why use the native integration with Gmail

Synchronizing Signitic with Gmail makes it possible to automatically deploy new signatures to company employees. This implementation is transparent for users. No action on their part is required during installation. Every signature change is automatically reported in Gmail.

How does the integration of Signitic with Gmail work

The native integration of Signitic with Gmail is done via the Google API. It is activated in a few clicks from the Google Workspace marketplace. This allows email signatures to be synchronized in Gmail.

Upon activation of Synchro Signitic, signatures are deployed and updated on the various Gmail environments, i.e.:

  • On Gmail from his computer
  • On mobile with the Gmail application on iPhone and iPad.

Concretely: a change in your Signitic interface is automatically transferred to the signatures of the users concerned in Gmail.

How to activate it

You can activate the Synchro Signitic from your Google Workspace account or via this direct link.

This can be done on all of your users, or only on some of them. You are in control, it is up to you to define the scope of users in Signitic.

What's the difference between the Gmail and Google Directory integration?

The two synchronizations are different and completely separate (technically airtight). They don't have the same role.

  • Native integration with Google Workspace allows you to deploy email signatures in Gmail. It can be activated at any time, on a user perimeter of their choice. This is defined in Signitic. Only users who are integrated into the account are synchronized.

  • Integration with Google Directory allows you to read information from your Google directory (user groups, user groups, names, first names, emails, etc.) and to display this information in the email signatures of employees. A change in the directory is therefore automatically reported. The creation and removal of users as well.

Here are two concrete examples to illustrate the difference, and the benefits of independent synchronizations.

Concrete example 1 :
You can add or import a user file and activate synchronization with Gmail, to deploy email signatures, without activating synchronization with the Google directory (directory).

Concrete example 2 :
You can activate sync with the Google Directory, and retrieve users on your Signitic account, without effectively deploying email signatures in Gmail. This allows you to wait for the right moment to deploy them.
